I am an amateur photographer and after a break of nearly 10 years I have just rediscovered the joy of bird and macro photography which I love with a passion, I have therefore set up this website to share my photography with others of a similar interest so I hope you enjoy browsing my images as much as I have enjoyed taking them. I use only Nikon equipment and currently shoot with a Nikon D2x and a Nikon D300. I tend to favour the older D2x over the D300 for its wonderful neutral colour rendition which is well suited to wildlife photography. To me its the Digital equivalent of Kodachrome 64 whilst the D300 is reminds me of Fuji Velvia I use the D300 on the odd occasions when I need to push the ISO over my preferred shooting speed of ISO 200 as the noise is less evident than on the D2x As with all nature photography the main skill to learn is patience. I think a successful image comprises 20% technical ability, 30% equipment and 50% patience
